Each Thing has its own set of "how do I do this?" learning moments along with the "Thing" itself. I found headphones to watch the "launch" video (his excitement in the possibilities is obvious.) I was already familiar with how to find articles in ELM; I see from the comments that this was a learning moment for some. I'm glad I looked it up through "Publications" instead of searching on the words of the title; by looking at the whole list of what is in the issue, I could see how many related articles have been written.
I really like Darlene Fichter's definition of Library 2.0 quoted in "The Ongoing Revolution:"
"Library 2.0 = (books 'n stuff + people + radical trust) X participation"
It is the multiplication effect of participation that makes this really a shift, plus the necessity of trusting our users to Become Participants. Another great nugget: "Trust drives change."
OK, I'm going to move on to Thing 3. Summer schedule cutting into my Thing time, I need to find it a few more open slots.
